About Us
Shane and Naomi Brooking came into the funeral industry in 2003, not to create something new, but to create something fresh.
Through their own personal loss and experiences, they identified a gap within the funeral industry which resulted in the official opening of Pacific Rim Funeral Care by Winnie Luamanuvao Laban and their Pastor, Don McFarlane on the 5th of September 2003.
On their 5th year anniversary, 5 September 2008, Shane and Naomi re-branded Pacific Rim Funeral Care to Capital City Funeral Services - Inc Pacific Rim Funeral Care, as part of their business development and growth strategy. This allowed them to better represent the diversity of families who engaged their services, within their local area and from the greater Wellington Region.
In 2008, they also relocated their Funeral Home to new and larger premises at 10 Norrie Street Porirua (across from Pataka Musuem).
